In March 2023, members from Rotaract The Hague International embarked on an insightful visit to the International Criminal Court (ICC). This initiative was a part of the objectives set by the International Project, aimed at fostering a deep understanding of the array of international organisations headquartered in The Hague. The visit was also joined by Public International Law students from Leiden University.
Our visit encompassed an illuminating tour of the ICC's premises, which included ICC's impressive hearing room. We delved into the intricate workings of the ICC, gaining profound insights into the process by which cases are brought before this institution and garnered a profound appreciation for the pivotal role that entities like the ICC play in upholding justice for victims worldwide.
The visit reminded us of the importance that we have as a society and as a diverse group of young students and professionals from different parts of the world to shape a more just and equitable world.
